Traffic Relief for Prague's Old Town

As part of Prague’s Western bypass a new 1,000 m long bridge was built near Ruzyné. This new outer ring connects the airport of Prague to highway D5 and later to highway D8 to Dresden, Germany.

The Ruzyně bridge is named after the nearby Ruzyně airport. Close proximity to the airport prohibited the use of cranes which was a challenging constraint on the construction works.

DSI supplied the longitudinal and transverse post-tensioning tendons for this project as well as the form traveller. DSI personnel provided on site technical field assistance for all the post-tensioning work.
